natural skincare

Our deepest apologies for not posting skin-care routines yesterday like we promised! Life happened, and some things just didn't make the docket. Unfortunately, the post was one of them.

We love using oils in our skincare (honestly, it is mainly Hannah, but Andrew benefits too). My (Hannah) favorite skincare routine is my nightly routine. I love going to bed having just cleansed my pores, because I am truly convinced that I sleep better with a fresh face! My nightly routine consists of the following:

:: washing off all of my make-up (see the previous post for natural make-up options)

:: scrub my face clean with facial cleanser. I use an apricot scrub and I love it. Whatever you use, keep it natural. You don't want to add toxins when you are trying to wash them off!

:: homemade toner: Thayer's Alcohol Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera (available here) on an organic cotton ball/pad + 1 drop of Young Living Lavender essential oil + 1-2 drops of Young Living Frankincense (LOVE my Frank!). Rub it all over your face! The combination of witch hazel, lavender, and frank helps hydrate your face, rejuvenate your skin, and honestly just makes your face glow (who doesn't love that!).

:: fresh lavender moisturizer from Root Pretty (available here) ALL over my face! It smells so good and totally refreshes my skin!

The ART Skincare System from Young Living is absolutely amazing as well! It is a bit pricey, but the facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer are so fabulous.

If you have a blemish (and let's be real ladies, we all get them sometimes), you can put a drop of Frankincense, Jade Lemon, Lemon, Purification, or Melaleuca essential oil right next to the blemish and it will help restore your skin!

The Essential Beauty Serum from Young Living is wonderful for dry skin. Be sure to check it out if you experience dry skin.

I would love to hear how you use essential oils in your skincare! Comment below with your tips!
